Course Description
The Diploma of Accounting is intended to provide students with foundation academic and business skills in accounting, supported with an introduction to related areas of study of economics, business law, statistics and marketing. It also develops the skills for self-directed learning and provides opportunities to apply these skills to business problems.
The Diploma of Accounting can be taken as a stand-alone course of 8 core subjects within 2 trimesters. Alternatively, the Diploma can be used as an entry point and direct entry pathway to the Bachelor of Business (Accounting). There are no electives for the Diploma of Accounting.

Accreditation
Graduates of the Diploma of Accounting are eligible to apply for admission into KOI’s Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or Bachelor of Business (Management and Finance). Students progressing into these courses will be given a maximum of 8 credits for prior learning for studies completed within the Diploma of Accounting. Graduates may use the Diploma to gain admission into many other bachelor level courses in Australia and overseas.
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent with 55% minimum (comparable to an ATAR of 55) or overseas equivalent.
- IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5, or equivalent
